Herbs by the window sill during rainy day

yesterday, another rainy day. brilliant! well, at least i can say that these days make me feel really happy for working at home. it feels so good to get out of bed, making breakfast, and don’t stress out about driving to work, or umbrellas, or rain coats! it feels good to work cozy at home, in the silence listening to the rain! and of course, after i moved my office to the living-room, i can look through the window and embrace the weather.

i bought a few herbs this weekend and change them into pots! they are probably going outside, but i loved them by the window sill like this. and the light was so beautiful. anyway, indoor plants and rainy days sometimes make me happy!

rain is kind of poetic actually… but i’m ready for spring. come on spring, you can run, but you can’t hide. let’s go girl, you can do it, don’t let all this rain get to you!

simple things // vintage cameras

hi you all, ready for a rocking weekend? i am!! we have so much to do on our backyard and also so much work as usual! but i know i’ll get to relax as well, will go to a wine tasting event and take lots of photos with my cameras for sure! and speaking of cameras last week i mentioned i loved to carry my film cameras, and i shared a few photos from my summer vacations and this week, simple things is also dedicated to film cameras, but different ones. i inherited a really old film camera and a film video camera from mr twiggs grandfather. his parents moved last year to their beach house and they are slowly taking their things out of the city house and when i was there with her, she showed me a lot of cool vintage things that she was happy to hand to me. so i came back with those two cameras, a black rotary phone and a typewriter! yay!

we got to choose some furniture around the house when we moved, so we have some 50′s inspired furniture in our dining-room, and it looks pretty cool to showcase all my vintage cameras there! so today i really wanted to share these news with you along with some delightful photos of two things that must have so many stories to tell!

in the meantime i’ll get to find out if the film camera is working! it’s a crazy camera let me tell you! it took me a while to figure out how i would load some film in that camera, because i couldn’t find the way to open it! i’m not sure if it works, the buttons feel a bit strange. but i’ll just take the camera into my local lab, with which i always work, and ask them what they think. this is an old camera, from the late 50′s, but it’s so advanced for its time. it has some really cool features like using the lens cap as a shade, and making the film advance twisting the lens itself. crazy, right? but it has so much charm, it’s so simple… all the buttons are below and above you can only access the shutter and nothing else!

oh and by the way, i’m growing lavender for the… 4th time? this time i really want to make it work and i know that less water is perfect, so almost no water for that lady on the right! so now i’ll be getting on to shipping orders and keep on the web-design projects!

monday’s favourites

hello there, how was your weekend my friends? a lot of fun things or restful moments? i was lucky to have both and work as well, which in these days, i can only see that as a very good thing! so to start our week in a very pleasant way, let’s start with some greenery, shall we? as you might know, we’ve recently moved to another house, a much bigger house and if i was already such a fan of having plants around, this time with more space, more plants and different way of showcasing the plants is on my wishlist/to-do list! i already have some succulents around, but i really want some terrariums around the place. so this week, monday’s favourites is all about terrariums and how they add so much character and a natural tone to your place.

Terrariums, Interior Styling, Indoor Plants // Monday's Favourites

some of my favourites are from score and solder who have several designs, a very pretty look-book, photographed by colin leaman and styled by julia sadler, with several pictures where you can see how terrariums can be styled in different ways, some really simple, others playing a strong role on a room, but always looking beautifully connected with everything else.

you can also sneak-peek this house tour on design sponge, where plants play a very interesting role on every room, and this article on apartment therapy for diy terrariums and bought ones. and how about you? are you a plant person yourself? do you like to have plants inside or not that comfortable with the responsibility?
