december break :: a subtle revelry

ok, i must confess something, i absolutely love the holidays, but this year i’ve been an absolute mess in organizing myself to do the things i wanted to do, specially in our new home! there’s no tree in our home, no candles, no nothing. we can still count on some fairy lights, some christmas balls and a few snowmen here and there. but the whole house is a mess and i can’t seem to find the time to organize myself into keeping it tidy, and ready for the holidays. maybe it is the adjustment to a much bigger house and maybe the recent projects that landed on my door step, which fortunately have made me quite busy, but confused on how to manage my time in a proper way.

but while i hope i’m not alone on this, i know that there are some of you that are way more organized and have your home all ready for the white beard guy to show up on the 24th! i can only dream about that next year, but until then, for the organized ones and for the messy ones like me, here’s a fabulous online magazine, filled with amazing and pretty easy DIY projects for this last week until christmas – subtle reverly the holiday issue!

DIY projects, Baking Recipes and Cool ideas for Christmas

sometimes i just wish that time could stop for just a little while and i could go on and do those things that are on my list for ages. this way when time decided to start all over again, i could feel a bit more relaxed. fortunately this time of the year is perfect for a few days offline and i’ll be able to catch up with those tasks and still enjoy the holiday season!

did you know about subtle reverly?

“welcome to a subtle revelry, a lifestyle blog where we celebrate the art of merrymaking! this blog was started as a passion project in may 2010 by victoria hudgins and has grown into a popular place for all things DIY party, home and wedding related. this blog is truly a labor of love, as i endeavor to showcase the best and brightest in craft styling – because, everyday deserves a party!”

this sounds like a beautiful project and endless source of great ideas! victoria also launched an ecourse about blogging, that should be interesting, but i’ll catch up on that topic later on! until then, just browse through the magazine and go on and do some of those projects, they should be really entertaining and a great way to get ready in these last days until christmas!
