friday i’m in {love} with…

… summer clothes. yes my friends, i am fully back, but i do need to confess that these vacations didn’t feel like enough! as last time i was away for three weeks, this one week felt a little short for my needs! and yesterday i was completely convinced that it was wednesday! so as you can see my mind is not fully recharged! i may need to go back to my special paradise! but i’m happy to be back, though coming back from vacations is almost worst than going away, as you hurry to leave everything done, but then when you return there is a huge amount of things for you to catch up and deal with! fortunately tomorrow i’ll be able to rest and do some things in a quieter rhythm! so what have you been up to? are you planning your vacations? where are you going?

and because i came back from a beautiful island and because it’s almost summertime, let’s make a roundup of beautiful summer clothes for us to pack for a summer break in the south of france, shall we?

1. beige jemima hat, platform wedges, peppy straw bag, large sunglasses, woodbridge floppy hat
2.  stripe jersey dress, brown sandals, vintage tote baglarge sunglasses, straw boat hat
3. wide maxi dress, toe post sandals, straw leather tote, hazelnut sunglasses, straw large hat

so today there is a challenge for you! which one do you prefer? i’ve always wanted to drive to the south of france! i’m a road-trip kind of girl and i believe that france is not all about paris, and there is so much preciousness and beauty to explore. from beautiful, small and charming cities, to vineyards, countryside villages, castles and dreamy beaches… i would love to plan a two week road-trip to the south of france and maybe all these would be packed! so,which one do you prefer?

friday i’m in {love} with…

… a casual summer wedding! because that is what i’ll be attending in the next two weekends! it’s really interesting because we usually don’t have friends getting married, but then out of a sudden three decide to get married and they choose the same month. we even had to decline an invitation, because one of my best friends is getting married in june and i could not miss that one. and as i usually like to buy something new for such occasions, i just try to buy something that i’ll be able to wear later on other occasions. sometimes it’s possible, others not so much! but fortunately, these will be casual chick ceremonies and i’m a very simple gal! so this is on my mind right now…

casual summer wedding

1. blouse 2. full circle full maxi skirt 3. steven by steve madden platform pumps 4. aldo clutch handbag 5. beaded jewelry 6. astley clarke ring

i just hope we can have lots of fun and i also wish for a sunny day! i know that rain is often considered a blessing for some people, i rather have a sunny wedding day, because both weddings will be happening in such beautiful places, it would be a pity to miss those, because of the rain! so tell me, what is your style for casual summer weddings?

ps. i’ve been rearranging my boards on pinterest! are you following me already?

wednesday find :: the glossy queen

hello there, how are you doing? to be honest i’m actually driving myself crazy and i’ll explain why! construction work is being done on my street and they are breaking the whole road, the noise is impressive and not even the music i’m playing is doing any good! so, asides from all the heat these last days, now it’s this noise… which is great when you have so much work to do, creative work, as usual! well, but let’s see if i can concentrate on what i have on my hands today, which is sharing something with you that i absolutely love since the first time i laid my eyes on it – the glossy queen. i know, i know, the name doesn’t ring a bell, right? what if i tell you to see this?

the glossy queen is jennifer elizabeth and this girl is filled with energy and good taste! i love when i find beautiful work and nice people behind it! the whole experience is so much more positive if you can feel a smile behind the products and the photos, right? as it’s an online business, you really need to do this in order to bring customers to you. and i think that jennifer does this in the right way! let’s see what else she says about herself, shall we?

“i’m jennifer elizabeth, a passionate nomad on a dream-filled journey. resonating vibrant frequencies far & wide! my etsy shop is full of 3 dimensional objects that were once only abstract thoughts. i find the process of creating is miraculous. it puts me in a trance-like state where i know anything is possible. though creating is a deep love i have, my being is eclectic. other areas of affection include: music, travel, reading, fashion {obviously}, philosophy and most of all… connecting with other impeccably styled individuals such as yourself! so let’s connect!”

i love the colour blocks on her bangles, the neon colours and the photos are delicious! on a business point of view, it’s really smart to gather some of the bangles, as they look pretty good together! the colours are absolutely summer-ish and that is what we need, right?  and i always love to see someone using the products and jennifer did that, on a very stylish way! you can follow the glossy queen on twitter and catch up with her work on her blog, but first explore her stunning shop, to see more fashion accessories she has prepared for us, like bib necklaces, bangle bracelets and also a clearance section just for you!

friday i am in {love} with…

… amazing and elegant neck straps! whow! girls be prepared for this! these are not cute… these are amazing and stylish, and elegant and i want them all! i must confess first that this friday feature for me is, sometimes, a real pain in my head! sometimes i spend such a busy week that on fridays i have no idea of what i’m love with! and i have to come up with something! it’s more like “let me see what i love, or what i’m loving now!” usually i go to pinterest to get come inspiration and to remember of something that i really like! and this morning i was catching up with my friends on facebook and my friend andré, also photographer, shared this link and obviously he had this male opinion on his mind, when he shared this. however all the ladies commented like ” whow!”, “these are gorgeous!”, “oh my goodness!”… and there you go, the story of how i came up with this for you today! so ladies, today is all about neck straps, but most of all is all about bloom theory.

so let’s tell a bit of this story! bloom theory is owned by two lovely and beautiful girls, who are in fact photographers! and for me this is an extra point, because no one will understand our needs in terms of neck straps better than photographers themselves! and as photographers they felt the need of making something different and for what i can say, they did it!

“bloom theory was born from a dream. a fantasy vania and christine, founders of simply bloom photography, envisioned in late 2011 to one day revolutionize the world of camera accessories. it wasn’t long before the european gals began working hard to make their dream come true. after months of product and market research, engineering, delegating, sketching, testing and designing, their dream had become tangible. with an acute sense of aesthetic, the girls strive to create designs that are unconventional, dramatic, yet still practical and efficient.”

“ we want photographers around the world to love their necks in bloom!”

to be really honest, as a photographer i’m not even this fancy! usually women that are photographers always care about purses and other things, in order to carry the equipment in something both fancy and casual… well, let’s say that i’m a backpack kind of photographer. i love my backpack and having it on my back is comfortable and i can keep my both hands free and all my movements are free, so no purses are around me in any way! and every time i see some neck straps, beautifully handmade in the most cute fabrics… well, they are cute, just not the kind of cute i want to put on my camera. but this is just my opinion, of course! but when i saw these… whow! these are so amazing and stunning! i just wonder if the camera comes with the strap as well! (ah, kidding here!), but talking about cameras, i love the film cameras they used for the individual photos!

these are my favourites, but i’ll invite you to delight yourself with the entire shop, and you might as well as explore their photography business and follow them on facebook!
