first of all, i need to point out that joana is one of the sweetest girls i’ve ever met and had the pleasure of photographing and working with. and though i wish all the happiness in the world to all my clients, there are those we wish more than happiness, if that is even possible! but i honestly wish joana happiness with a twist of adventure, love and dream. joana is a sweet gal with an open smile, a delightful innocence and so easy to be with, besides she’s a creative, though graduate in engineering!
it was with joana and joão that i did this shoot with the yellow balloon and i also had the pleasure to work with them for their wedding invitations. and as if this wasn’t enough, her friends asked me to shoot their bachelorette party, so i had once again the pleasure of capturing joana’s smile in camera! an afternoon that should have felt like a summer afternoon, ended up on a very cloudy one and slightly cold even. but still, it was a pretty afternoon, where light colours contrasted with the woods dry summer colours.

Oh. My. Gosh.
The picture you did( laying on the ground) shooting all the girls upward and the trees beyond that?
It was so inspired! Beautiful!
I always think I could never shoot anything that hasn’t been done before, but to me, this picture is different and just so cool!

Oh my Deidre, how nice of you to leave such a kind comment!!! To be honest one of the girls suggested something like this, because this tree had a hole in it and one could go inside the tree so to say. But when I looked up they look so beautiful and I pictured right away the whole fairy tale look, with the girls in their white dresses contrasting with the green leaves! I loved it too!! Thank you so much for your support!
